Error 609 – Invalid Name

Error 609 – Invalid Name

This guide explains Error 609, which occurs when the cardholder’s name entered does not meet the length or format requirements defined by the PagueloFacil payment gateway.

   What does it mean?
Error 609 – Invalid Name indicates that the text entered in the "Name" field has been rejected by the system’s validation rules. The system displays the following message:
"The provided name is too long or too short, please try again."
The most common causes include:
  • Insufficient length: The entered name has fewer than 2 or 3 characters.
  • Excessive length: The name exceeds the maximum number of characters allowed by the form.
  • Invalid characters: Use of numbers, special symbols (such as #, $, %) or characters that the system cannot properly process.
  • Unnecessary spaces: Extra blank spaces at the beginning or end of the name.
   How to fix it?
To resolve this issue, follow these recommendations:
  • Check the format: Enter the full name exactly as it appears on the physical card.
  • Avoid symbols: Use only letters (A–Z). Avoid special characters unless strictly necessary.
  • Verify length: Ensure the name is not too short or abbreviated.
  • Contact Support: If the name is correct and the error persists, contact
    customerservice@paguelofacil.com for further assistance.

Notes
This is an input data validation error. It is a preventive measure to ensure that the cardholder information is correctly sent to the issuing bank and to avoid further declines during authorization.
