Recurring payment links are a tool that allows your customers to enroll in subscriptions in a convenient and secure way, facilitating transaction management and payment information updates.
They work when, during subscription creation, you select the link option, which automatically sends your customer a unique link to make a payment associated with a subscription or recurring charge.
After the first payment, the subscription is activated and recurring charges are executed according to the defined period.
How do recurring payment links work?
1. Link generation
On the platform, when creating a subscription and choosing the option to send a payment link, a recurring payment link is sent to the customer’s email.
This link includes information such as:
Amount to be paid
Customer name
Subscription plan name
Billing frequency
2. Sending the link
The link is sent to the customer by email as part of the subscription process or as a payment reminder.
You can also:
Copy the link
Send it through other channels
Resend it manually
These actions are performed from the buttons located next to the created subscription.
Once the customer completes the first payment, these buttons will no longer appear.
3. Using the payment link
The customer accesses the link and enters a secure payment page where they can:
Review subscription details
Complete the payment
They will be able to enter:
Credit or debit card
Online payment methods available according to configuration
4. Payment confirmation
Once the payment is made:
The platform confirms the transaction
The subscription status changes from Pending to Active
Card details are stored for future transactions
5. Single use and validity
The payment link is for single use, meaning it can only be used for one transaction.
Its validity matches the subscription billing period.
Recurring payment link statuses
Pending
Customer card details are missing.
No charge has been made.
Active
The customer completed the payment link and card details were successfully registered, activating the subscription.
Canceled
The subscription will no longer execute charges, regardless of the reason.
